My Wife Betty and I moved here from Raleigh NC 1 Feb 2005 We moved to this area because of the surrounding Beauty of the Area. We used to Love day trips around here. I Have enjoyed the PRESENT MANAGEMENT VERY MUCH. Has not always been that way here in my opinion. I enjoy my life here now More than I would anywhere else that we have ever been. They keep up the apartments and the grounds very, very well. Emergencies are always handled very promptly. Very nice place for older people. Management is VERY, VERY caring and UNDERSTANDING and helping when problems arise . Thanks to them for all they do for us...... David (85 years old soon, wife Betty is 92...)

We have been at lakeside for 5 years and it has been amazing from beginning to end!! Julie and John are the best team. They are so attentive and professional. They helped me with literally EVERYTHING I needed. The place is always clean. Whenever I put in a work order, they sent maintenance right away. Every issue I had got solved immediately. they truly care about your well being and that’s so hard to find nowadays. So if you are looking for a place to move to, I highly highly recommend lakeside apartments. They are worth every penny. I’m truly going to miss it there.

I moved in a couple months ago and it has been an amazing living experience since. The office staff and maintenance staff are always available to help when there is something that needs to be fixed within the day the issue was sent in. Johnny and Julie are always there to help, explain, and make sure your living experience is up to par! The apartments are very roomy which was something I was looking for and have a beautiful view from any floor you live on. The building is clean and quiet which is great! The pool is my favorite along with the fire pit that faces the lake for a pretty view. There are paved walkways to go on a walk or even walk your dog. I would recommended Lakeside Apartments to everyone because I have had a great experience thus far. It is great for first time apartments as well!

Lakeside Apartments was an amazing living experience. I lived there for one lease term of a year and have no complaints at all. From the office staff, to the maintenance staff, everyone is always willing to help and even remembers you by name. They all say hearty and friendly "Hello's" when passing by. While being friendly, they also uphold the policies set in place and do an excellent job of explaining them. Maintenance staff was always quick to address any issues and fix any problems in the home. One thing that I have not experienced elsewhere, is that they have very frequent events at the clubhouse as well as free food and treats to residents. Management was also quick to address unruly neighbors and found solutions to help everyone else in the building live in peace. From the office staff, to the beautiful grounds, Lakeside Apartments is definitely the spot to be in Wheaton. If I ever return to the area, this will be my first place to get an apartment. Especially recommend for first time apartment renters!!

Mom says Office maintenance says they will drop by and never does. Old carpet and 1st floor balcony is useless for a senior because you have to stand out there to see anything, no chair if you want a view

I moved in a couple weeks ago and John and Julie were so helpful. They made the moving process so much easier and they are always so accomodating. My apartment looks great,my building looks and smells great. So far, I love it here. The pool and fire pit are my favorite areas and they both look right at the lake. I would highly recommend Lakeside Apartments as my experience has been great with John and the apartment.

I love Lakeside! By the time we move out in June, my husband and I will have lived here for about 4 and a half years. We started off in a one bed/one bath, and then moved to a 2 bed/2 bath after a year. The apartments are very nice, being constantly renovated, and very spacious. Really the only downside is the lack of central air. It does get hot in the bedrooms in the summer, as the only wall AC unit is in the living room, but we bought a window AC unit(~$300) and it made all the difference. It is a bit pricey, but I am sure it is comparable to other apartments in such a nice area. Wheaton/Glen Ellyn are BEAUTIFUL suburbs, and the location of Lakeside is optimal. Only a few miles from 88 and 355 and near endless shopping and dining. The management staff does change frequently, some are better some are worse, but if you’re a low maintenance tenant such as myself, it doesn’t really affect you. My favorite part about Lakeside is its location. It is in such a nice, safe subdivision; surrounded by beautiful houses and wonderful walking paths. If you’re a dog owner such as myself, your dog will love the location. Right across Briarcliffe is the most beautiful walking path around a park and a couple ball fields. I will sincerely miss Lakeside as I move to Michigan for my residency.

I was searching for apartments on trulia and emailed several housing apartments. I immediately received a reply from lakeside apartments the same day to view available apartment. I met with Diana, who was warm, friendly and compassionate with wanting to show me the available apartment and explained everything that I needed to know. She offered coffee as I filled out my applications and she followed up with any questions, if she was unsure about the answer. Also, she introduced me to the maintanance staff who was present in the office briefly. I decided to take the apartment and went back into into the office a few days later to pay for my rent and to receive my keys. I was happily greeted by Diana and Julie with open arms. Julie was great with assisting me through emails with lease agreement. Also, Mike the maintanance guy is great and friendly. I know God as led me to a great heart filled place which I can call home. I received several other apartments viewing, but I know I belong here. Thank you lakeside apartment. Job well done Julie, Diana and Mike😊

My entrance area which faces 22nd St. Is filled with leaves left over from last fall. Called to inform office and nothing was done, it is now January and snow is melting and the leaves are wet and has sealed the new sod that was just laid this last summer and I am sure the new sod will be dead. Let alone how much leaves are picked up on a daily bases on the carpet in my living room. Hopefully the garden company they hire will be more attentive to the cleaning of the property that they are responsible for and management will be more attentive to how they leave the property.

Its a nice community. Its quiet and yes even with College students and I have a family. There prompt if anything goes wrong in the building. The current manager and maintenance are very respectful, understanding and communicate very well with empathy when changes are coming .

Lakeside apartments has so far been the best apartment complex I have lived at. Our leasing agent did some extra leg work to get us the best deal on the apartment. even in the process of remodeling the units the noise has not carried. The maintenance work orders are completed in timely manner. Someone is always in the office to answer any questions we have. the courtyard is supper dog friendly they even provide doggie doo doo bags for resident to use.
